Our Story

Staverton Club Venue boasts a rich history as a long-standing social club in the heart of Trowbridge & local villages. Originally built as a wooden structure in 1919, it was known as the reading rooms. After World War 1 the club was purchased from the Red Cross for £100. In 1974, thanks to extensive fundraising efforts, the wooden building was replaced with the stone structure you see today. For over a century, our social club has been a beacon of light in the community, and we're committed to serving everyone around us for many years to come.

Our Vision for the future

At Staverton Club Venue, we hope to bring a vibrant atmosphere, affordable drinks, and a great night to the local community. Whether you're playing snooker, pool, or skittles, hosting family parties, or simply relaxing and watching our big screen TV. We offer a welcoming space for everyone who walks through our doors.

Our Volunteers

Staverton Club Venue is solely run by dedicated volunteers, including secretaries, committee members, and a chairperson. All our volunteers live locally, work hard, and generously offer their time and services to allow us to serve the communities. Their commitment is what makes our club so special.
